Friday, March 17, 2006 Happy St. Patricks Day! PINCH! I don't think I have anything green to wear, so I bought green clover tattoos to wear instead. i1981star wrote at 9:27 AM Saturday, March 04, 2006 This has been a crazy week. Paul was gone Monday through Wednesday for work. He was supposed to be home Tuesday, but he conveniently got stuck in the snow so that he had to stay an extra night. Being alone with Aaron for that long almost drove me insane. I have a lot of big thimgs going on with work right now that have me really stressed out. I'm sure that everything will work out in the long run. I just have a really hard time not knowing whats going to happen. I like to be in coontrol of my life, and the things that influence it. It's kind of weird. Its like being driven in a vehicle thats about to crash, and you don't have any control over it. I like using those kind of analogies. Just one of the things I learned in my many years of counseling. My weight loss efforts haven't been a complete lost cause. I have lost a couple of pounds so far, but I've got many more to go. The gym is supposed to have their kids club open in a few weeks, then I can really get going. Well I better get going. As usual Paul invited some people over tonight, and I get to clean up his mess. i1981star wrote at 2:25 PM Sunday, February 19, 2006 Not much new around here. I joined weight watchers last week. I'm trying to learn their ways, and change my bad habits. We went out to a new restaurant last night for dinner. It was pretty good, and we had a good time. Came home and Paul built a nice toasty fire. We fell asleep on the couch as we have done many times lately since its nice and warm in there. I'm working on a photomontage of us growing up and stuff. Its coming along nicely. I'm having a lot of fun doing it. I have most of the pictures done, but the next step is editing and piecing the music together. If you have any good pics, or either of us, with friends or us together, please pass them on to us. I'm also trying to think of some good songs to put with us growing up. Any suggestions? One for me growing up about angels, and one for Paul growing up about the Devil. HAHA! i1981star wrote at 12:20 PM Thursday, January 12, 2006 Paul reminded me that I hadn't updated my blog in a while, so I guess I'd better stay on top of it. Not much exciting going on here lately. Wedding planning has slowed down now that we have a good idea of what we're doing. We've all been sick this week with the flu. I went to the doctor and got a flu shot. Kind of late I know, but I figure it can't hurt me at this point. Since I work with a lot of elderly people, exposing them to these kinds of illnesses are a life and death situation. I think Aaron may be getting sick now too. Before he went to bed, he had a slight fever. We'll see how he is in the morning. Its just that time of year. My best friend Megan is supposed to be coming up this weekend to help me work on some wedding stuff and for some good ol' fashioned girl bonding time. I've been friends with Megan since 1st grade. We have gone several years without seeing each other, but we talk on the phone several times a week, and at times, several times a day. It's funny how no matter how much time passes between our visits, we're still as close as if we were together every day. I'm going to be attempting to start a new project. I'm going to make a photomontage. I've never done one before, but it shouldn't be too hard. I have several different programs that I'm going to experiment with. I'm pretty good at Power Point, but I wanted one that would play on a DVD player. I'll let you know how things come along. First things first, I've gotta get this new scanner hooked up, so I can scan a bunch of old pictures. Wish me luck! i1981star wrote at 11:41 PM Friday, December 30, 2005 Ok, so I think we've found a place to hold our wedding ceremony. We're gonna go next week to book it, and hopefully everything will go as planned. We are planning on having the ceremony at the McKinley Park Rose Garden, and then the reception and the Clunie Community Center Auditorium at McKinley Park. I am so excited! Its all I can think about. I am going to do nothing but think, plan, and dream wedding thoughts for the next ten months. Let me know if I become annoying with the wedding planning. Anyways, I was wondering if anybody has any referrals that could give us good deals on vendors. We need to find a photographer, a caterer, a DJ, etc. Please let me know if you know of anybody that you would recommend, even if it is an amateur. Thats all for now, back to wedding planning... i1981star wrote at 11:12 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2005 Ok, so we have tenatively set the date. We are in the planning process for October 20, 2006. We have a lot to do to plan a wedding. I've never done this before, so any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. We are on a tight budget, so we are going to be cutting corners wherever possible. I will be hitting up the gym and going on a diet to fit into a dress. I don't want my guests seeing this albino whale at the alter! More details to come later. i1981star wrote at 8:29 PM Saturday, December 24, 2005 FINALLY! Guess what? Paul finally popped the question. Can you guess what I said? I said, of course, you know I will. Then I said YES about 6 times. I'm so excited and happy! He gave me a beautiful engagement ring, and I LOVE IT!!! Will try to post pics soon! I get to share the news with all of my friends and family at Christmas. This is gonna be the best Christmas yet! YEAHHHH! WOOOHOOOO!!! i1981star wrote at 12:47 AM |
